River rafting in Iceland is operated in Hvita (near Gullfoss and Geysir). The difficulty of the rivers is officially rated from 1 to 5. Hvita is the favorite. Graded 2 (2+), it has a nice blend of rapids, admirable nature and fun. In fact the excursion is more amusing and scenic than difficult and it builds team spirit since passengers have to paddle and assist with keeping the raft on track and bring it to its destination.
